Tecno is Italian Historical Trademark
Tecno is officially registered in the special register of Italian Historical Trademarks.
It is with the “T” icon designed in 1954 by the hand of Roberto Mango and Osvaldo Borsani, on the occasion of the 10th Milan Triennale, that Tecno finds its keystone. A design that still remains unchanged and relevant today, defining its cultural responsibility for present and future history.
Within the brand are merged technique, design and business know-how that allowed Tecno to receive the 1989 Compasso D'Oro Career Award for the high cultural quality expressed over time through the interpretation of the various systems: display, production and graphics.
Contributing to the great value of the brand and emphasizing its close relationship with the world of architecture is the history of its headquarters. In Paris Maison D'Ozenfant, the house-atelier designed by Le Courbusier in 1922 for the artist and friend Amèdèe Ozenfant. In Milan Tecno inaugurates, after a long restoration, the Caselli di Porta Garibaldi, giving back to the city its main gateway. Places with a historical soul that now become TClub, a meeting point and hub for presentation and research.
Tecno's important recognition as an italian historical trademark recounts the commitment and passion of the company, which since 1953 has confirmed its fundamental role as an ambassador of Made in Italy worldwide. Design interventions such as the halls of the European Parliament in Brussels and the Palace of Justice in Paris, Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam and Tullamarine in Melbourne, the British Museum in London, and offices such as the headquarters of Furla in Milan, Moleskine in New York and National Bank of Kuwait, are just some of the special projects realized by the company.
An international presence in which Tecno embodies a pioneering vision and a new language, showing an Italian approach of imagining and building.
